Laminated metal panels can provide architects with some interesting and innovative options across a range of design projects. These can be both visual, for example having copper and stainless steel on opposite sides of a single panel, and performance effects – reducing the noise from rain on metal surfaces.

Sound reduction – rain
Some structures, or parts of structures, can create very high levels of noise when it rains – the classic rain drumming on a roof. SDS laminated metal sheets can provide a very cost effective and visually appealing solution to reduce rain generated noise.

Visual effects
By its very nature, the ability to laminate two metal sheets together into a single units also creates the option to generate sheets that have very different material or visual properties on each side. You could, for example, have panels with stainless steel on one side and copper on the other, smooth finish one side and patterned on the other etc etc…
